Millennium Way: Passionate, Curious, Caring, & Dependable.

For Q2, we wanted to focus on our core value of being Caring. Trista Cavins, our Corporate Trainer for the Employee Success & Development team, demonstrates caring daily. Trista has been with Millennium for nearly a year, and her work to boost employee engagement and outcomes demonstrates her caringness. Trista has been dedicated to developing new training for our sales team and other business-critical initiatives to keep growing our talent. Caring employees like Trista help us continue to evolve and meet changing client needs.

Let’s Hear What Her Manager, Mary Burback, VP of Employee Success & Development, Has to Say:

I am excited to recognize Trista Cavins as one of our 1 in a MIL winners. She truly embodies our core value of Caring in her day-to-day work at Millennium and in her life outside of work. The first thing you notice about Trista is her approachability and genuineness. She leads and gains traction through her unwavering focus on building relationships and consistently delivering on commitments across the organization. Trista truly listens when people are talking, and she does so in a way that makes others feel heard and understood. A conversation with Trista is sure to leave you smiling, laughing, or feeling confident that you are on the path to accomplishing your goal or task. You will feel the same if it is a tough conversation — she doesn’t hesitate to address issues or concerns to make you, the team, or Millennium successful. Her dedication to fostering strong relationships and her genuine care for others make her an invaluable member of our team and a shining example of our core values.

We asked Trista several questions to glean more about her experience working for Millennium and her personal hobbies and interests outside of work.

What brought you to Millennium?

I’ve always aspired to work for a company deeply rooted in my community. My corporate background in Operations and People Development has prepared me to help a growing organization reach its full potential. Millennium’s story was and continues to be compelling, and I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to be involved, to create opportunities.

Tell us about an accomplishment that you’re proud of.

Each onboarding Ignite class is a unique and exciting experience. It’s both rewarding and nerve-wracking to shape someone’s initial impressions of our company, but I love the challenge! I thrive on building lasting connections with new team members and getting to know our incredible team.

Earlier this year, we implemented our new Learning Management System (LMS), miFuel. I’m energized by the opportunity to develop a knowledge base that will empower our team and drive us forward.

Outside of work, I have been blessed with the most absolutely perfect little family. My husband Bradley is my anchor, my stable ground. Our son Jack is my proudest accomplishment, he fills in all my cracks and is my little walking ray of sunshine!

What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?

Professionally, my goal is to fully integrate miFuel and help equip our team with the resources they need to grow and develop. I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to foster a culture of learning, development, and collaboration that will position Millennium to take up even more space in the market.

Personally, I’m hoping to tackle a much-needed bathroom remodel at home. It’s currently looking a bit like something out of a Brady Bunch episode!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

Hands down traveling. Exploring new places and seeing how the rest of the world lives is the best. Give me my family, a beautiful beach and I’ll have all I ever need — pure bliss!

What is a cause that you care about?

I’ve always felt a strong connection to organizations working to provide children with safe and loving homes. A child’s home should be their sanctuary, a place of love, support, and security. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. I believe that stable homes are essential for building stronger communities.

My time as a Big Sister in St. Louis was incredibly rewarding. The bonds I formed with my Littles were mutually beneficial. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering mentorship. You could be the positive influence a child desperately needs and deserves.

A message from Trista:

I am incredibly honored to be nominated by my peers for this award and grateful for the leadership team’s support in selecting me. Millennium is an exceptional place, and its foundation is built upon exceptional people. From my initial conversation with Mary Burback,  to our most recent, I’ve consistently experienced authenticity, transparency, and genuine care. The company culture is like nothing else, and I’m proud to be a part of it.

Congratulations, Trista!

Your hard work and caring spirit make Millennium a truly great place to work. Thank you — You’re “One in a MIL,” Trista!
